MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!
I hope that you all have a
great Christmas this year... Don't forget to remember the true meaning of Christmas, Christ's birth!
This week has been GREAT! I'm telling ya we saw some Christmas
MIRACLES this week. We started out the week by driving to Winnipeg last Monday. That's a long drive. It was about 4 and a half hours, but anyways we
got there, had interviews with President and then we had to find our way around
that crazy city. Thank goodness for GPS. Anyway that night was interesting
we got billeted at some of the missionaries apartments, but there was 8
missionaries in one apartment and not many beds, so we slept on the floor haha.
The next day we had Christmas zone conference. It was a great zone conference.
We talked a lot about how we can be better at finding, how we need to teach to
people's needs and also that we need to remember who we are. Each of us is a son
or daughter of God, we need never to forget that! We had a lunch and a dinner
and we also had a talent show and they let us watch a Christmas movie. We
watched It's a Wonderful Life. It was really a good zone conference.
Then
Wednesday morning we woke up and were supposed to go home, but it was snowing
like crazy! So anyway long story short there was so much snow and the roads
were so bad that we had to stay another night in Winnipeg. It kinda was
terrible haha but oh well. We ended up going to get snow tires on Wednesday. We got there at 2:00 and the assistants were supposed to pick us up but they didn't
come so we sat there for 3 and a half hours until we got our tires haha. It was
a joke.
But then Thursday morning we finally got to leave. The roads still
were not great but I drove carefully and we made it home. We left at 11:00 and got
home at 5:00. It took forever haha but we made it! So that's our first miracle -- We
made it home from Winnipeg.
Then on Sunday Sean and his family showed up to
church! They are the family they came to the Christmas devotional broadcast. We
were able to teach them and they loved church. We had such a good lesson and
they really opened up to us! So that's miracle number 2.
Then during church, we
were blessing the sacrament and we looked up and bam one of the less actives we
have been working with just showed up all on his own. AND there's more! On Sunday night we were doing some stop byes and we were going to this ladies
house that we have stopped by a million times and I thought she was just going
to be "busy" but she opened the door invited us in and we taught her
lesson 1. She loved it and said she would read the Book of Mormon and have us
back after Christmas. It was amazing!
I love missionary work so much I cant
even explain the feelings that come when you get to share the gospel. I love
this time of year! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas. Don't forget to
remember Christ during this time of year, He has done so much for each of us. He gave us the best gift that anyone could ever give. Share that gift with
others!!!!!
Love you all!
Love Elder Farnsworth
