First Week at the MTC

The MTC is awesome!!! I cant believe that it has already been 3 (almost 4 days). The MTC is great I have learned so much already.  I feel like my brain is on overload but its good!  My companions name is Elder Ofiu (oh-few). He is awesome!!! He knows the scriptures like crazy and hes always telling me a random scripture to explain something to me. He is from Alaska and is 21 years old. He said he was pretty crazy up until 6 months ago when he changed his life around. In our district there is three sets of companions, Elder Cox and Elder Reed, and then we have Sister Davis and Sister Capt. I really like my district we have a lot of fun!!! We have the 2 best teachers brother Clancy and Sister Latu.

My testimony is already growing. I have learned a lot about how to love people. We practice teach people like crazy, they are trying to teach us how to love and see people as god sees them. Today we practice taught a lady named Tiva, it was an awesome experience, and me and my companion learned a lot from it. I don't think I have ever felt the spirit so strong until then, it was an awesome experience. As we sat there and taught her about faith, I tried to see her as God does, and my whole view of her changed. Its crazy how all of these investigators are fake, yet they are constantly on my mind.

Last night we got to meet our MTC branch president, he was really cool. His scriptures look like a coloring book and he can practically quote any scripture. He called Elder Ofiu and I to be our MTC zone leaders, we weren't too happy about this cause it just means more work, but were grateful to have the opportunity serve more!!!

Out of this whole experience so far, I have only one thing to complain about... the food SUCKS!!! My companion eats like 3 plates every sitting, but I cant even eat 1. I thought the food was supposed to be good, so that was disappointing. I miss everyone at home, I try not to think about it but dang I miss my nieces and nephew!!! (sorry for the rest of you, I promise I miss you too just not as much!) But other than that life is pretty good, whenever I start to get sad we always have an awesome lesson and I think its God's way of reminding me that this is all worth it!!! I'm so grateful for this opportunity, I KNOW the church is true, and I know that if we have faith, and do all that we can God will make up the difference! I love you all!!!

Love Elder Farnsworth

PS -- Parker and Austin:  I can't wait for you guys to leave!!!  You will love it!!!!
